Was lange währt, wird auch irgendwann erfolgreich. So müsste das Sprichwort heißen, um die Situation von The Faint zu beschreiben. Brodelnde Elektronik, greller Rock n Roll fast ohne Gitarren und scharfkantiger New Wave – und das aus dem beschaulichen Omaha/Nebraska. Was vor Jahren an einem zu hohen Innovativfaktor für den Alternative-Mainstream scheiterte, ist 2004 ein verheißungsvolles Konzept. Schließlich sind Franz Ferdinand, Radio 4, The Rapture nicht gerade die großen Unbekannten. Und so kann dieses Jahr auch für The Faint noch die ein oder andere Überraschung bieten...
